Washington Nationals Release 2 Players
The Washington Nationals are never shy to make changes to their roster, and they have yet again. After clearing waivers, both Dee Strange-Gordon and Josh Rogers were released.
Strange-Gordon and Rogers both had enough experience to elect free agency, and now they each will be looking for new homes from here.
Strange-Gordon was quite solid but rarely utilized with the Nationals. At the plate, he had an excellent .305 batting average but in only 22 games played. Teams looking for a bit of depth should pursue Strange-Gordon. He is not only an 11-year veteran but also can play an array of different positions if needed.
Rogers struggled this campaign with the Nationals, as his 5.13 ERA in 16 appearances shows effectively. Still, teams are always looking to beef up their pitching depth, so don't be surprised to see him ink a minor league deal elsewhere.
