Washington Nationals Outfielder Designated For Assignment
The Washington Nationals have designated Donovan Casey for assignment.
Casey was on the Nationals' 40-man roster but never made his MLB debut for the team. He has played in 67 games for Triple-A Rochester, however, where he has six home runs, 24 RBIs, and a .219 batting average.
The Nationals will likely place Casey on waivers from here. Teams looking for outfield depth could elect to put a claim in for Casey. Time will tell on that front.
