Washington Nationals Outfielder Done For Season
The Washington Nationals have transferred Yadiel Hernandez to the 60-day injured list. This means that the outfielder's 2022 season is over.
Hernandez was having a pretty solid year before his injury, so it is rough to hear that he is now done for the season. In 94 games, he had nine home runs and set a new career-high with 41 RBIs. With that, he hit fairly well for contact, as his .269 batting average shows.
With the Nationals out of playoff contention, it makes sense for the Nationals to rest Hernandez for the remainder of the campaign. Here's to hoping he is fully healthy by the start of the 2023 campaign.
