Washington Nationals Outfielder Clears Waivers
Donovan Casey is remaining with the Washington Nationals organization, as he has cleared waivers.
Due to the fact that Casey has not been outrighted before during his career, he does not have the chance to elect free agency. Thus, he will be heading back to Triple-A Rochester as a result of this.
Casey has appeared in 67 games this season for Rochester, where he has six home runs, 24 RBIs, and a .219 batting average. He will be aiming to end the year on a high note in hopes of getting back on Washington's 40-man roster.
