Video: Albert Pujols Hits 690th Career Home Run
The chase for 700 career home runs is firing up for future Hall of Famer Albert Pujols. The grizzled veteran has been on fire as of late and hit his 690th career home run (a grand slam) on Thursday against the Colorado Rockies. It also just so happened to be a pinch hit home run, too.
Every baseball fan wants to see Pujols hit his 700th career home run before he officially retires after this season. We have only seen three players reach this achievement in Barry Bonds, Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron. If Pujols stays this hot moving forward, he should be able to get to 700 by season's end.
All eyes should be on Pujols from here, as we are seeing history whether he reaches the accomplishment or not. We here at BaseballRumors.Me will be rooting for him.
