Toronto Blue Jays Outfielder Placed On Injured List

The Toronto Blue Jays have placed George Springer on the 10-day injured list due to elbow inflammation.

Springer has been dealing with elbow trouble over the last handful of weeks but has played through it. Yet, the Blue Jays have now elected to place the veteran outfielder on the IL in hopes that rest will do him some good.

Springer has been a key part of Toronto's lineup this campaign and made his fourth All-Star appearance because of it. In 89 games on the year, he has 18 home runs, 49 RBIs, and a .251 batting average.
