Tigers Place Rising Young Starter On Injured List
The Detroit Tigers have had to put yet another starting pitcher on the injured list, this time Tarik Skubal, who goes on the 15-day IL with left arm fatigue. He has inflammation in the forearm area.
With Skubal, every member of Tigers' season-opening rotation has now spent time on injured list. He was examined by Twins team doctor yesterday. https://t.co/HKzalcZ1ti

As noted by Tigers beat writer Jason Beck, this means that every single member of Tigers' season-opening rotation has now spent time on injured list.
At one point, it was thought that Skubal could be on the trade block heading up to Tuesday's deadline. The speculation began when he exited Monday night’s start against the Minnesota Twins after throwing five shutout innings and just 77 pitches. Was he being pulled due to a pending trade?
Turns out it was due to arm fatigue, and they assured him earlier in the day on Tuesday that he would not be traded.
The 25-year-old Skubal has had a strong season for the Tigers, with a 3.52 ERA, a 1.16 WHIP, and a 117:32 strikeout to walk ratio.
