The right-handed pitcher was signed as an international free agent by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2012 and is only making his major league debut this season.
In the minor leagues this season, Castillo has been phenomenal, posting a sparkling 1.42 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 35 strikeouts across 38 innings.
For his career, the twenty-seven-year-old has pitched 464 innings in the minors, holding a strong ERA of 3.49, with 406 strikeouts and 11 converted saves.
Maybe one day we'll see him dominating at the major league level like his name-twin Luis Castillo of the Seattle Mariners.
