Texas Rangers Designate Outfielder For Assignment
The Texas Rangers have designated Elier Hernandez for assignment.
Hernandez was on the Rangers' major league roster before this move was made. In 14 games during his call-up, Hernandez struggled at the plate, as he sported a .182 batting average. That wasn't enough to maintain his spot on their 40-man roster, so now he will be placed on waivers.

Teams looking for a bit of outfield depth could consider Hernandez. It's never a bad thing to beef up on it, so let's see if Hernandez finds a new home from here.
