Tentative Timetable Released for Return of Braves' Second Baseman

Atlanta Braves' second baseman Ozzie Albies is progressing well in his recovery from a broken foot and is expected to take batting practice next week.

Manager Brian Snitker said that Albies will accompany the Braves on the next road trip so he can continue ramping up baseball activities.

Albies will then, most likely, do a two-week rehab assignment and be ready to return to the team in mid-September.

The initial estimate for his return was late August or early September, and he'll probably be ready near the September estimate.

The twenty-five-year-old has hit .244, with eight home runs, 33 RBIs and three stolen bases in 62 games this season.

It's not yet clear what his return will bode for rookie breakout Vaughn Grissom but, considering his phenomenal play so far, the Braves will almost assuredly find a way to keep him in the lineup.
