Kansas City Royals Place 2 Pitchers On Injured List

The Kansas City Royals have placed Zack Greinke and Josh Staumont on the 15-day injured list.

Greinke has been dealing with forearm discomfort, so it makes sense that the veteran is going to be sitting out for the next two weeks at least. At this juncture, an estimated recovery time nor the severity of the injury has been announced. In 21 starts this season, he has a 4-8 record to go along with a 4.14 ERA.

Staumont, on the other hand, is dealing with biceps tendinitis. After beginning his career with three solid seasons, things have gone in the complete opposite direction in 2022. In 42 games, he has a 3-3 record and a very high 6.45 ERA. Once he is healthy, he will be aiming to bounce back and end the year on a high note.
