Royals Lose Slugging Rookie to Injury
He was just getting hot, going 10 for his last 29 with two home runs and five RBIs in the last nine games.
The Kansas City Royals are placing Vinnie Pasquantino on the 10-day injured list with right shoulder discomfort, however.
Pasquantino apparently aggravated his shoulder swinging at a pitch in the second inning of Monday's game against the Chicago White Sox. Right after the game, Vinnie P said that he's "felt similar things before in the past, which makes me not worried about it."
Unfortunately, it's too serious to play through for Pasquantino.
There is no exact timetable for the twenty-four-year-old's return yet.

Pasquantino made his MLB debut earlier this season, after coming into the year as one of the Royals' top prospects. He has not disappointed either, hitting a solid OPS of .784 with eight home runs, 15 RBIs, and 18 runs scored through 49 games. Photo Credit: Dave Nelson-USA TODAY Sports
