Rockies Get Disastrous News On Right-Hander
The news couldn't have been any worse for the Colorado Rockies and right-handed pitcher Antonio Senzatela. He pulled up hobbling Thursday night after attempting to race to cover first base, and today's MRI results have confirmed a torn ACL.

Senzatela will have surgery ASAP, and be out for 6-8 months. A devastating blow to the 27-year-old and the team.

Senzatela is in the first year of a 5-year, $50.5M contract, though it hasn't gone as well as hoped, as he's struggled to a 5.07 ERA and a 1.69 WHIP. Surprisingly, however, he's actually pitched better in Colorado (4.08 ERA) than on the road (6.41).
RHP Jhoulys Chacin has been reinstated from the 15-day IL to take Senzatela's spot on the roster.
