Rockies Catcher Headed to the Injured List
The Colorado Rockies will be losing their catcher to the injured list.
An MRI revealed that Elias Diaz has ligament damage in his right hand. Manager Bud Black said nothing is broken for Diaz, which is good news. He will almost assuredly require a trip to IL, however.
Bud Black says nothing is broken for Elías Díaz but there is some ligament damage. He will likely be placed on the IL. Yonathan Daza was in good spirits postgame, his shoulder popped out and he had to pop it back in. Will have a better timeline after some tests #Rockies

The injury occurred during Wednesday's loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. The thirty-one-year-old leaves behind a .230/.294/.371 triple slash line, with six home runs and 33 RBIs in 77 games.
Catcher Dom Nunez has been recalled and will take Diaz's spot on the 26-man roster. He will most likely split duties behind the plate with Brian Serven.
