Reds Select A Former 1st Rounder To Start This Week
Former Toronto Blue Jays first-round pick, T.J. Zeuch, is set to make his Cincinnati Reds debut this week, as he's been selected from Triple-A Louisville.
RHP T.J. Zeuch, a Mason native, is here with the Reds in New York and expected to start Wednesday vs. Mets.

Zeuch had a 3.63 ERA in five Triple-A Louisville starts with 26 strikeouts and 10 walks in 22 1/3 innings.
Zeuch was DFA'd by the St. Louis Cardinals in May, then signed to a minor league deal by the Reds in June.
The 27-year-old never really caught on with the Jays, who drafted him 21st overall in the 2016 Draft. He started a total of seven games across three tryouts with Toronto over the previous three years.
He'll be making his 2022 debut in the majors with the Reds, likely on Wednesday against the New York Mets, as reported by Reds beat writer Bobby Nightengale.
After posting an ugly 11.64 ERA with the Cardinals at Triple-A this season, he was cut loose, and has performed much better in the Reds' system, posting a 3.63 ERA in five starts over 22.1 innings at Louisville.
The Reds rotation is reeling, following the trades of Luis Castillo and Tyler Mahle at the deadline, and Hunter Greene landing on the IL. It's hoped that Zeuch can provide some relief.
