Red Sox Outfielder Gets Into Heated Confrontation With Royals Fans
Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran has had a rough go of it of late. In his last 30 games, he's batted just .180 with a .544 OPS, two home runs and 37 strikeouts. Then came Sunday's 7th inning in Kansas City, where he got into a heated confrontation with fans in the outfield.

The backstory goes like this: In the 7th inning, Duran first misplayed two fly balls, which had fans heckling him—and, according to Duran, throwing bottlecaps at him.

This isn't the first time Duran's misadventures in the outfield have grabbed headlines. He was the one who 'lost the ball in the lights' when Toronto Blue Jays' Raimel Tapia hit an incredible inside-the-park grand slam in the Jays' 28-5 demolition of the Red Sox last month.
He was also docked three days' pay and service time for going on the restricted list due to his unvaccinated status when the Red Sox visited the Jays in Toronto earlier this season.
Certainly a challenging sophomore season for the 25-year-old.
