The rookie starter has had an ugly major league debut thus far, posting an 8.47 ERA, 2.29 WHIP and 15 strikeouts across 17 innings pitched. He's allowed 28 hits and 11 walks in those 17 innings.
Bello has made one career start against the Blue Jays and is 0-1 with an 11.25 ERA.
It's been a rough debut for Bello, but maybe taking the extended time off while he dealt with a groin strain will be beneficial to him, and get him back on track to being the pitcher who dominated in the minors.
