- Eric Hosmer added to the roster
- Matt Barnes (shoulder) reinstated from the IL
- Darwinzon Hernandez recalled
- Jackie Bradley Jr. DFA, released
- Brayan Bello (left groin) to the IL

Barnes has been on the injured list since the end of May with right elbow inflammation. The right-hander returns to an ugly 7.94 ERA, 1.71 WHIP, and 14 strikeouts in 17 innings. He's also converted two saves on the season, but that role will likely stay with Tanner Houck for now.
Pitcher Darwinzon Hernandez has been recalled from Triple-A Worcester. Hernandez takes the place of starter Brayan Bello who was placed on the injured list. In just 3.2 innings pitched for the Red Sox this year, Hernandez has a 12.27 ERA and six strikeouts.
