Rays' Outfielder Beginning Rehab Assignment; Eligible to Return on August 20

The Tampa Bay Rays are starting to get good news on the injury front.

Outfielder Manuel Margot began a rehab assignment on Tuesday with the Rays' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate.

Margot is eligible to return from the 60-day injured list on August 20, and there's a chance he can do just that.

The twenty-seven-year-old is working his way back from a sprained patellar tendon in his right knee, which luckily did not require season-ending surgery.

Over 51 games this season, Margot has been very good, slashing .302/.365/.423, with three home runs, 27 RBIs, and five stolen bases.

He'll provide a much-needed boost to the Rays' roster when he returns.
