Rangers Sign Veteran Catcher
The Texas Rangers have signed a 12-year veteran catcher.
The Rangers have signed catcher Wilson Ramos to a minor league contract with Triple-A Round-Rock.
Additionally, C Wilson Ramos has agreed to terms on a minor league contract and is expected to be assigned to Round Rock (AAA)

The Texas Rangers mark the eighth team Ramos has played for over his 12-year MLB career. Ramos was previously an unrestricted free agent, having last played for the Cleveland Guardians in 2021, hitting just .226 over nine games.

The thirty-five-year-old catcher has played with the Minnesota Twins, Washington Nationals, Tampa Bay Rays, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets, Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Guardians in his career.
For his career, dating back to 2010, Ramos has hit a strong .271/.318/.432, with 136 home runs, 534 RBIs and 362 runs across 990 games.
He'll provide catcher depth for the Texas Rangers.
