Pittsburgh Pirates Catcher Clears Waivers

Jose Godoy will be remaining with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, as he has cleared waivers and accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A Indianapolis.

Godoy was claimed off waivers by the Pirates recently and appeared in five games for the club since. During them, he went 0-for-10. After failing to get a hit in that many at-bats, perhaps fans could have seen this move coming.

In 23 career games split between the Seattle Mariners, Minnesota Twins, and Pirates, Godoy has zero home runs, four RBIs, and a .128 batting average.
