Pittsburgh Pirates Call Up Infielder

Tucupita Marcano is getting another chance with the Pittsburgh Pirates, as he has been called up to their major league squad.

Marcano has gotten into a decent amount of action with the Pirates already this campaign. In 22 games on the year, he has two home runs, five RBIs, and a .229 batting average. Now, with this most recent call-up, he will be aiming to impress, as it could lead to a permanent spot on the roster from here.

The Pirates aren't pushing for a playoff spot, so they can make an abundance of roster moves before the season is over. Thus, giving a player like Marcano another chance comes with no actual risk. Let's see how the utilityman produces from here.
