Pirates Place Pitcher on IL; Recall Reliever from Triple-A

The Pittsburgh Pirates have placed pitcher Colin Holderman on the 15-day injured list. 

It has not yet been announced what the injury is that is sideling Holderman.

The twenty-six-year-old has put together a decent season, throwing a 3.81 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 24 strikeouts over 28 innings pitched between the New York Mets and Pirates. He holds a 5-0 record on the season.

Pitcher Yohan Ramirez has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis in a corresponding move. 

The twenty-seven-year-old has been nothing to write home about, compiling a 6.52 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, and 17 strikeouts over 19 innings this season. 

He'll add some depth in the middle innings for the Pirates, taking the role of Holderman
