Phillies Pitcher Likely Heading to Injured List
He exited Sunday's game against the New York Mets after feeling discomfort.
Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Corey Knebel was diagnosed with a lat strain after the game. The good news, is that it was not anything arm-related.

Knebel will apparently head for an MRI exam on Monday, giving the Phillies more clarity on the situation and a potential timeline for his return.
However, it's most likely that he heads for the injured list.
Corey Knebel has a lat strain. He’s going back to Philly for an MRI. Probably looking at an absence.

Knebel's had an up-and-down season but has been solid for the most part, posting a 3.45 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 40 strikeouts across 44 innings. He's also been used in the closer role at times this season, converting 12 of 16 opportunities.
