Phillies Complete Trade With Angels
The Los Angeles Angels are certainly active in the hours leading up to the deadline at 6pm ET. In addition to a number of talks ongoing for a couple of pitchers, they've now completed a trade to send outfielder Brandon Marsh to the Philadelphia Phillies.
Phillies are trading Logan O'Hoppe to Angels for Brandon Marsh, sources said. @ByRobertMurray is on it.

The Phillies have sent their No. 3 prospect Logan O'Hoppe to Anaheim in return for Marsh.
The 24-year-old Marsh has not been tearing it up this season with the Angels, hitting just .226 with a .284 OPS, along with 8 HR and 8 SB. He will likely slot right into center field, a position the Phillies have been desperate to strengthen all season.
Brandon Marsh barrels the ball and plays a good center field, a combination of which the Phillies don't have right now. Sure, he strikes out too much, but I like this.... wait Logan O'Hoppe is in the deal? hmmm.

Eno Sarris of The Athletic likes the addition of Marsh for the Phils, but recognizes they gave up a solid prospect in catcher O'Hoppe. The 22-year-old is powering up at Double-A this season, with 15 HR and 45 RBIs, along with an .877 OPS.
