Orioles Sign Former All-Star First Baseman
Beyond the Gunnar news, the Orioles have signed 1B Jesus Aguilar to a minor league deal and he will join the club's taxi squad in Cleveland today. Aguilar, 32, was released by the Marlins a few days ago. He had 15 Hrs and a .674 OPS. Owns a career .777 OPS in 9 MLB seasons

The 9-year veteran was DFA'd by the Miami Marlins earlier in the week. Although his percentages were down this season, the former All-Star Aguilar did have 15 homers thus far, along with 49 RBIs. His .674 OPS is down about 100 points from his career mark.
Aguilar was an All-Star with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2018 when he slugged 35 HR to go along with 108 RBIs and an .890 OPS.
The Orioles traded long-time first baseman Trey Mancini at the deadline about a month ago, and although Aguilar signed a minor league deal, he's already joined the team's taxi squad in Cleveland today, and will likely get every chance to provide more depth at first base and a power bat for the O's.
