The Orioles called up Martin for a few games last week while rookie infielder Terrin Vavra was away from the team on paternity leave.
The twenty-seven-year-old has played in a total of 13 games this season with the Orioles, hitting a poor .167 batting average with three RBIs and three stolen bases.

In the minors this season, Martin has slashed .254/.349/.724, with one home run, 19 RBIs and 18 stolen bases across 224 at-bats. Perhaps, Martin taking out a kid's legs from underneath him while sliding down a hill at the MLB Little League Classic game on the weekend had something to do with his demotion.
