Oakland Athletics Officially Release Veteran Infielder

After being designated for assignment, Jed Lowrie has now been officially released by the Oakland Athletics. He is now a free agent.

Teams looking for a bit of depth in their infield could give Lowrie a call. He is a grizzled veteran with an immense amount of MLB experience, so he could be a good player to bring in for much-needed leadership.

In 50 games this season, the 14-year veteran has three home runs, 16 RBIs, and a .180 batting average.
