Oakland Athletics Claim Pitcher Off Waivers

The Oakland A's have claimed Joel Payamps off waivers from the Kansas City Royals.

Payamps was designated for assignment by the Royals earlier this week, but he has now found a new home with the A's. He will be looking to continue his strong 2022 season as an Athletic from here.

In 29 games this season, Payamps has a 2-3 record to go along with a 3.16 ERA. Super strange that the Royals let him go after a solid season like this, but alas, let's see how he does with the A's from here.
