New York Mets Pitcher Sent Down To Triple-A

The New York Mets have sent down Jose Butto to Triple-A Syracuse.

Butto was called up earlier this week and made his first career MLB start. It did not go well for the rookie, however, as he allowed seven earned runs in just 4.0 innings pitched. That likely led the Mets to send him back down.

However, all hope is not lost for Butto, as he still has a spot on their 40-man roster. Thus, he still has the opportunity to be called up with ease before the season is over. Let's see if that comes to fruition from here.
