New York Mets Infielder Designated For Assignment

The New York Mets have designated infielder Kramer Robertson for assignment.

This is certainly disappointing news for Robertson, as the Mets had just called him up to the major league squad. Now, this development comes before the infielder was able to get into a single game for New York. Now, the 27-year-old is off their 40-man roster and will most likely be placed on waivers before the week is over.

Robertson played in his first two MLB games this season with the St. Louis Cardinals. It will be intriguing to see if another team elects to give him a chance from here.
