New York Mets Designate Infielder For Assignment
The New York Mets have designated Yolmer Sanchez for assignment.
Sanchez was recently claimed off waivers by the Mets from the Boston Red Sox, but now his time with the team is coming to an end. Sanchez is set to hit the waiver wire, and it will be intriguing to see if another club claims him. If not, don't be surprised to see him elect free agency.
In 674 career games, Sanchez has 32 home runs, 217 RBIs, and a .243 batting average. With that, he is a one-time Gold Glove Award winner.
