New York Mets Catcher Designated For Assignment

The New York Mets have designated Patrick Mazeika for assignment.

Mazeika appeared in 24 games for the Mets this season, where he had one home run, six RBIs, and a .191 batting average. That production at the plate wasn't enough for him to maintain his spot on their 40-man roster, and now he will be heading to waivers from here.
