New York Mets Calling Up Top Prospect

There were rumblings that the New York Mets would call up top prospect Brett Baty shortly. Now, that is coming to fruition, according to Jeff Passan.

The New York Mets are calling up highly regarded prospect Brett Baty, sources tell ESPN. He's expected to join the team in Atlanta.

This is an extremely exciting development, as Baty is viewed as a potential future star in this league. In 95 games this season split between Double-A and Triple-A, he has 19 home runs, 60 RBIs, and a .315 batting average. He has been excellent, and now he will be aiming to translate this success over to the majors.

All Met fans should watch Baty when he makes his debut because this kid has the potential to be something special.
