MLB Rumors: Trade Talks Heating Up Between New York Yankees & San Diego Padres

Joey Gallo's time with the Yankees is expected to be over by tomorrow. Although he's had a disastrous 2022 season, multiple teams like the Padres, Rangers, Brewers, and Rays have made a push for him. Yet, it appears that trade talks with the Padres are now heating up significantly.

Gallo reportedly is hoping to be moved to the Padres, so perhaps this is why trade talks are starting to get more serious. If Gallo can find his previous form, he would be a strong addition to San Diego's lineup. Keep in mind, he has two 40-home run campaigns on his resume and is a two-time All-Star.

In 82 games this season, Gallo has 12 home runs, 24 RBIs, and a ridiculously low .159 batting average. A change of scenery is exactly what he needs, so let's see if he gets his wish and is a Padre by tomorrow.
