MLB Rumors: Trade Talks Heating Up For Oakland Athletics Pitcher

The trade deadline is just one day away, and the A's are expected to be very active before it officially passes. They are predicted to be one of the biggest sellers of the day, and trade talks are heating up when it comes to several of their players. All-Star pitcher Paul Blackburn is one notable name who is getting plenty of attention.

Blackburn has cooled off lately, however, as his ERA has jumped up to 4.15 in 20 starts. Yet, when looking at how well he pitched before the All-Star break, there's no question that playoff teams would love to have him in their rotation.

It will be intriguing to see if Oakland finds an offer to their liking from here. Blackburn is certainly a player to watch from here.
