MLB Rumors: Brewers Taking Offers on Josh Hader
It's a rumor that seems shocking at first, and it's come up more than once now. Could the Milwaukee Brewers actually be considering trading baseball's best closer over the past few years? According to Ken Rosenthal, their ears are definitely open:
"The Brewers are again listening to overtures for closer Josh Hader."

Rosenthal cites three reasons the Brewers could actually trade the 4-time All-Star who's nailed down 125 saves for them since 2018:
- Hader is getting very expensive for the Brewers' tastes: His $11M salary likely will increase to the $16M range next season in his final year of arbitration before becoming a free agent.
- He wants to stick to one-inning saves, which goes against the team's preference of using him for multiple innings when needed.
- They have a pretty good replacement already in-house: Devin Williams, who has produced 30 straight scoreless appearances, striking out 47 in 28 2/3 innings.
Just about every contender in baseball would line up to grab Hader.
