Blue Jays figure to be one of the more active teams in the next 25 hours and 43 minutes. They continue to pursue starting pitching, bullpen help.

Morosi says if the Blue Jays put their No. 1 prospect, catcher Gabriel Moreno, in a deal, they could land a young, controllable starter like Tarik Skubal from Detroit. "He would be in (the Jays) rotation for this year and years to come," said Morosi, making it worthwhile of trading someone like Moreno. Toronto, of course, already has an All-Star catcher in Alejandro Kirk, and another pretty good one in Danny Jansen.
"If you have a piece that can give you a starting pitcher, controllable, that you need, like Tarik Skubal? I would say, Moreno to Detroit for Skubal is a really interesting concept that I think has value on both sides."
In the meantime, the Tigers also have a few bullpen pieces that would come in very handy for a Jays team that desperately needs bullpen help. Michael Fulmer and Gregory Soto have been mentioned in rumors, and Joe Jimenez is a key piece as well. Could a multi-player package deal be in the offing?
"This is where you might have a nice foundation (for a deal). Moreno plus maybe one more prospect, and then say, 'Ok, Skubal plus a Joe Jimenez, or Skubal plus a Michael Fulmer', and then you start to build out that deal and it has value on both sides," added Morosi.
