MLB Rumors: Blue Jays Interested In Angels Reliever
The Toronto Blue Jays have been rumored to be interested in a member of the Los Angeles Angels rotation already, so why not shop in the bullpen aisle, as well? According to Jon Heyman, the Jays are trying to secure two arms from the Angels.
Jays talking to Angels about Noah Syndergaard and Raisel Iglesias. Philly also has been linked to Noah, though Dombrowski isn’t often a buyer of rental players.

In addition to Noah Syndergaard, closer Raisel Iglesias would provide a huge boost to the Jays' staff, forming a dominating 1-2 punch at the end of games, along with current closer Jordan Romano.
The Angels signed Iglesias to a 4-year, $58M deal this past offseason, so it would be somewhat surprising to see the Jays commit to that kind of money at that length for a bullpen arm.
Iglesias has 16 saves and a whopping 48:9 strikeout to walk ratio this season, and had 30+ saves in each of the three previous full seasons. His ERA is elevated a bit at 4.04, but he's still striking out batters at a better than 12 per nine innings clip.
Along with their earlier trade for two Marlins' relievers, a move for Iglesias would instantly make the Jays' bullpen one of the strongest in the league.
