Minnesota Twins Release Veteran Pitcher

The Minnesota Twins have released recently DFAed reliever Joe Smith.

Smith's 2022 season has been a year of mixed results. In 34 appearances, he has a 1-1 record to go along with a 4.61 ERA. Although those numbers are not too impressive, teams in need of some pitching depth could be willing to take a shot on him. Keep in mind, he has 15 years of MLB experience on his resume.

In 866 career games, Smith has a 55-34 record and 3.14 ERA. It will be intriguing to see if he gets signed by a new club and has the chance to improve on these career stats before the year is over.
