Minnesota Twins Pitcher Officially Placed On Injured List

Earlier this week, Tyler Mahle left a start early, and many speculated that a trip to the injured list was on the way. Now, that has come to fruition, as the Minnesota Twins have placed him on the 15-day IL with shoulder inflammation.

This is certainly bad news, as Mahle has looked excellent since being traded to the Twins thus far. In three starts, he has a 1-0 record to go along with a 2.51 ERA. Now, his hot start with Minnesota has to be put on pause due to his injury.

Here's to hoping that Mahle's injury does not keep him out of action any longer than this 15-day stint on the IL. Time will tell what happens on that front.
