Minnesota Twins Claim Pitcher Off Waivers

The Minnesota Twins have claimed Jake Jewell off waivers from the Cleveland Guardians.

Jewell was recently designated for assignment by Cleveland, so there was a real possibility that this would occur. Now, he will be heading to Minnesota and hoping to cement himself a permanent spot on their major league roster.

Jewell has appeared in 31 career games over his career, where he has a 0-3 record and 7.75 ERA. When called up to the bigs, he has struggled, but perhaps the move to Minnesota could be exactly what he needs to find stability.
