Milwaukee Brewers & Texas Rangers Strike A Deal
The Brewers have acquired Matt Bush from the Rangers in exchange for Mark Mathias and Antoine Kelly.
Bush's name was in the rumor mill, so seeing him traded is not too surprising. The veteran pitcher has had himself a very strong season and will be aiming to translate that success over to the Brewers. In 40 appearances on the year, he has a 2-1 record and 2.95 ERA.
Mathias will be hoping for the chance to receive more playing time in the majors with the Rangers. In 22 games over two seasons, he has one home run, four RBIs, and a .231 batting average.
Kelly is a young pitching prospect who has spent this season in Single-A+. In 19 appearances on the year, he sports a 2-4 record and 3.86 ERA.
