Milwaukee Brewers Designate 2 Players For Assignment
The Milwaukee Brewers are continuing to make changes to their roster. This time around, both Dinelson Lamet and Pedro Severino have been designated for assignment.
Lamet was just acquired by the Brewers from the San Diego Padres in the Josh Hader blockbuster earlier this week. Yet, his time on the Brewers' 40-man is already over before he even made his debut. In 13 games this season with the Padres, Lamet had a 0-1 record and 9.49 ERA.
Severino just finished an 80-game suspension, but now the Brew Crew are already taking him off their 40-man roster. In eight games with the team this season, he has four hits in 18 at-bats.
Due to their playing experience, both players have the opportunity to reject an outright assignment and become free agents. First, they will of course need to clear waivers to have that option.
