Miami Marlins Pitcher Designated For Assignment

The Miami Marlins have designated Parker Bugg for assignment.

Although Bugg was on the Marlins' 40-man roster, he never made an MLB appearance for the team. In fact, he still is looking to make his major league debut. With this development, it seems rather unlikely that this will occur in Miami.

Bugg will be heading to waivers, so it will be intriguing to see if another team decides to take a chance on him from here. In 21 games split between Double-A and Triple-A this season, he has a 2-1 record and 2.39 ERA.
