Miami Marlins Outfielder Placed On Injured List

The Miami Marlins will be without Avisail Garcia, as the veteran outfielder has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain.

Although the Marlins are not a threat to make the postseason this fall, it certainly is never a good thing to lose a player to injury. Garcia has struggled at the plate this campaign, however. In 88 games, he has seven home runs, 30 RBIs, and a low .232 batting average. Keep in mind, he just had a 29-home run season the year before in 135 games.

Alas, here's to hoping that Garcia can return to the lineup as soon as this 10-day stint on the IL is over. Time will tell what happens on that front.
