Mariners Lose Lefty To Forearm Injury
He was the lone lefty out of the Seattle Mariners bullpen, so this is not the news that manager Scott Servais was looking for. Ryan Borucki has suffered a forearm strain, and had to be pulled from Monday night's game.
Ryan Borucki has a forearm strain and will have a MRI tomorrow. Servais would prefer to have a lefty out of the bullpen if possible but we'll see what happens with the roster.

Borucki was done after throwing a pitch with two outs in the 9th inning of their 9-4 loss to the New York Yankees.
"Obviously, it's a left forearm and you're a left-handed pitcher, that's pretty serious," Servais said. "We'll see where that's going to take us. He'll probably get an MRI tomorrow morning and we'll make a determination there on how long he'll be out. But he's going to miss some time for sure."
Servais likes to have at least one lefty in the bullpen. The only other LHPs on the 40-man roster are Matt Boyd and Justus Sheffield. Boyd hasn't pitched yet this season, and is about to go on a rehab assignment. Sheffield has only pitched 6.2 innings for the M's this season, most of them back in April.
The injury comes as the Mariners are struggling to hang on to the final Wild Card spot, now just one game up on the Baltimore Orioles and 1.5 games on the Cleveland Guardians.
Borucki had a 4.26 ERA in 19 innings since being acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays, with a 13:6 K:BB ratio.
