Los Angeles Dodgers Pitcher Placed On Injured List

Yency Almonte will be out for the Los Angeles Dodgers, as he has been placed on the 15-day injured list with elbow tightness.

Almonte is set to have an MRI on his injury to determine the severity of it. The Dodgers will certainly be hoping that it isn't too serious, as Almonte has blossomed into one of their top relievers this year. After sporting a 7.55 ERA in 48 games last campaign with the Colorado Rockies, he has an excellent 1.15 ERA in 29 games this year with LA.

Alas, here's to hoping that this isn't too serious, and that he can get back on the mound soon.
