Houston Astros Call Up First Baseman

J.J. Matijevic is back with the Houston Astros, as he has been called up to the major league squad. 

Matijevic has played in 26 games for the Astros this season, where he has two home runs, four RBIs, and a .189 batting average. Overall, he has had some struggles at the plate when called upon, but now he has been given another chance to change that.

Matijevic is a good depth player to have around, as he not only plays first base, but he can also man the outfield if needed. If he impresses during this call-up, it will be intriguing to see if it leads to him maintaining a spot on their roster for the remainder of the year.
