Houston Astros Call Up Catcher

The Houston Astros have called up Yainer Diaz to their major league roster.

This call-up is certainly deserved, as Diaz has had an excellent 2022 season. In 105 games split between Double-A and Triple-A, the 23-year-old catcher has 25 home runs, 96 RBIs, and a .306 batting average. That is excellent production at the plate, and he will be aiming to translate that over to the majors.

It will be intriguing to see how Diaz performs during this call-up, but congrats to the rookie for making it to the show!
